LAIKA – A Dynamic Script

Here and there you’ll see something in it’s test stage, preliminary stage, or just before mainstream gets a hold of a concept and it blows your mind. Think of the yellow line on the football field on televised games.
Well, that’s what LAIKA is, a mind blower. Now, the common application of this might be far off, if at all but, it’s still damn cool. Investigating the potential of dynamic fonts, this is the bachelor thesis of Michael Flückiger and Nicholas Kunz Hochschule.
“We devised a system in which a typeface would not be defined static font styles anymore but would be able to change it‘s shape and appearance at any moment reacting to a broad spectrum of inputs.”
