Every year Chase pulls together his favorite photos from the year, makes some sort of video and puts them up on the web. This year he took it an extra step, printed out his favorite forty at Mama Sauce Print Shoppe. Signed um and gave um out at gifts. It looks as if he might have forget to print, probably the best of the eighty tho.
My dad was able to convince mom to let us go away on a little camping trip. Just the two of us, men doing manly shit. We headed to the Northwest corner of the state to Cloudland Canyon State Park.
We hiked into the canyon down to the waterfalls. Which included the 600 stairs down and back up. An amazing part of the country. Neither of us could believe that this place was in Georgia.
Our campsite was about a 1/4 mile walk from the parking. We hauled in all of our supplies for the night and morning. Ate lunch, then headed in. I can’t be positive, but I’m pretty sure this is where they filmed the Disney movie “Bambi.”
After the hike out and back to the site, it was wood cutting and chopping time. Prepping the fire then some hot dawgs, beers and rum. The night was cold. Close to 32˚. Woke up close to 7:15 and broke down the site and made a mountain man breakfast on the Coleman stove.
Men being mountain men.

And from the “Wished I Thought of That” department…
You know you’ve taken something from the curb too, imagine if you were followed and interviewed about one of your curb-treasures.
This is how I’m giving out my x-mas presents this year.
This is why I love the interwebs … get to work, with your morning cup of coffee, make some rounds and then, bam! You hit a road block of great work.
Whilst casually carousing the internet storefronts, I passed the windows of FFFFound! where I saw the top illustrations of Rich Gemmell, that lead me to Booooooom’s post on the UK based illustrator. Great style, textures, colors and themes.
