Element Trio: Chad Tim Tim

On Friday, Element’s Trio video launched with it’s first part from Chad Tim Tim. What was planned to be a part for the now defunct Sole video, the footage and project were briefly shelved while a new plan and project were developed. Which evolved into Trio, three video parts, from three of Element’s best, released once a week over three weeks.

From the inception, this project saw many twists. From the original intent of the video project, to the theme, name and riders involved. There were meetings, there were talks, there were changes. And in when the whole thing was a sitting duck, Ricki “The Dude” Bedenbaugh, who was never going to give up on the project came through with the intro you see here.

It was all over after that. The project was renamed and revamped. And now here we are, 2 parts away from an amazing video.

Got to tip my hat to everyone involved.

Passion for the Details

Hell yeah I like seeing how stuff gets made … who doesn’t? I’ve always been a huge fan of seeing the process it takes to create, well, anything really. Which is probably the reason that I can sit and stare at How It’s Made for hours on end. The only difference between that show and these videos here are the production and direction that goes into them.

I recently came across the Passion for the Details video by Bespoken Clothiers while scrolling through the pages of Esquire. Which after seeing reminded me of this amazing commercial that pals Craig Metzger and Kirk Dianda created awhile back. I know both of those guys have extreme attention to details and both are amazing to work along side of.

Both are executed exceptionally well and romanticized the detailed process that goes into making a product.

Anthony Pappalardo : Virgin White

2

Virgin White, the art/furniture show of Anthony Pappalardo’s amazing stools and tables is at Future Project in Brooklyn. I’ve been  a huge fan of these handcrafted four-legged resting structures since the first time I saw one. They’re meticulously made from small blocks and would love to have one of these in my apartment.

It’s nice to see a pro skateboarder peruse their other ambitions and hobbies and make something amazing and desirable. I’ve also been a long time fan of his.

If you haven’t already seen it, make sure to watch his Epicly Later’d mini series.

More of his video parts.
